On September 15, 2002, I received a Patent from CIPO (Canadian Intellectual Property Office), October 2002, I was in Saigon. I immediately went to Hanoi to meet Minister Tran Thi Trung Chien. She invited me to the Ministry of Health and had very warm contact with me with the large and solemn delegation of the Ministry of Health. I really did not expect the Ministry of Health to organize a such solemn contact with me. Indeed, I was too ignorant, stupid to refuse the warm help of Minister Tran Thi Trung Chien in Hanoi. It was because I demanded to manufacture drugs in Ho Chi Minh City, which was my gross negligence, which led to my failure in all provinces of Vietnam for 20 years.
Because at that time, I was completely unaware that there
were many conflicting issues between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This made me a
complete failure, when I refused to make a special drug to treat cancer in
Hanoi Capital. A thoughtless personal mistake has brought a great disadvantage
to the work of saving cancer patients for Vietnam and the world.
Today, given the opportunity, I am determined to win the
Vinfuture Prize to atone for my past mistakes with cancer patients in Vietnam,
developed countries in the world and my Patent for 20 years. I blame myself and try to learn from the
experience of studying cancer treatment in the dark for the past 20 years to
make the treatment of cancer and viral diseases more successful than ever.
